How medical equipment salespeople can use AI agents to list equipment

Published

Every listing is the same routine: look up the model, write a title, describe the unit, pick the condition, enter the price, upload photos. Then do it again for the next unit. An AI agent can do that typing for you. You keep the parts that need your judgment: the price, the condition, and whether the agent gets in at all.

What you need

  • An AI agent that can use a web browser and fill in forms.
  • An AgentMail inbox for the agent. That inbox is its AgentID, the identity it signs in with.
  • A free Medical Price Online supplier account, under the same email you use as the agent's owner in AgentMail.
  • The details of the units you want listed: a spreadsheet or a few lines per unit, and a folder of photos.

1. Create your supplier account

If you don't list with us yet, create a free account and set up your company. Use the email address you'll register as the agent's owner. That match is how we know the agent works for you.

2. Give your agent its own AgentID

Create an AgentMail inbox for the agent, then give the agent's AgentMail API key the App: Share Owner permission. That lets AgentID tell us, with a verified email, that you're the agent's owner. Your agent never needs your password, and it never signs in as you.

3. Let it sign in, then approve it

Point the agent at our agent guide. It signs in with Sign in with AgentID on the login page. We email you right away. Open the Agents tab in your supplier portal, check that the inbox is your agent's, and approve it for your company. Until you do, the agent can't open anything in the portal.

4. Give it a listing brief

Agents do best with exact instructions. A brief like this one works well. Adjust it to how you sell:

List the units in units.csv on Medical Price Online, one listing per row.
- Find each product with the product search. If it isn't there, propose it
under "My product is not listed" and tell me which ones you proposed.
- Listing title: 60 characters at most. Name the accessories or features
that set the price, for example "with 3 probes, 2019, low hours".
- Use the condition, price, year, and shipping from the spreadsheet as they
are. Never change a price on your own.
- Upload the photos in photos/<unit id>/.
- Do the first two units, then stop and send me the links to check.
- If anything is unclear, skip that unit and list it in your report.

5. Check its work

Start small. Have the agent list two or three units, open them, and read them the way a buyer would. Once they're right, let it do the rest. The Agents tab shows what your agent has done: when it signed in, and each listing it created, edited, or deleted. If something looks wrong, press Revoke. It loses access immediately.

What your agent can't do

An approved agent can create, edit, and delete your listings, and nothing else. It can't open your market data, your leads, your billing, or your settings. Those stay with you, and so do your buyers' contact details. Agents also can't collect the prices on this site, so the market data stays with the people it's for.

Tips

  • Keep one source of truth, like a spreadsheet, and have the agent work from it rather than from memory.
  • Name the photo folders after your stock numbers, so the right pictures land on the right unit.
  • Ask for a report at the end: what it listed, with links, and what it skipped and why.
